Starting school is a huge milestone, and while it's full of excitement, we know it can feel a little daunting too. We’d love to welcome you and your child into the Medina Primary School family starting in September 2027, and our biggest priority right now is making this transition feel as warm, comfortable, and easy as possible for your whole family.

Every child is unique, which is why we take the time to really get to know your little one as an individual. We strongly believe that a happy school journey starts with a close connection between home and school, and our Early Years induction is thoughtfully designed to build that trusted relationship from day one.

To help you decide if Medina Primary is the right home for your child's education, we’d love to invite you to come and see us in action. You'll get to meet our friendly team, hear a bit about what we offer, and take a stroll around our lovely school to see the environment for yourself.

Each session lasts about an hour, and your child is very welcome to come along with you!

Key Application Dates for Your Diary:

Applications through Portsmouth City Council open on Monday 2nd November 2026 and close on Friday 15th January 2027. You can submit your application via the Portsmouth City Council portal when applications open.
